Welcome to the MonDive

Today in MonDive, we’re looking at AI Skills reusable workflows that can turn a normal AI assistant into a specialized tool for different types of work.

We’ll break down what skills are, how to install and use them, how they can become real services, and explore five powerful skills that can help with marketing, SEO, outreach, internal knowledge, and professional deliverables.

Alright, let’s dive in.

Travel like you have a trust fund

Good news: you do not actually need one. If you have credit card points, there may be a much better way to use them than booking through your card’s travel portal.

point.me helps total points beginners travel like pros. Their flight search tool finds the deals hiding inside airline loyalty programs, not just the obvious ones in your credit card portal. Search where you want to go, and point.me shows you how to book better flights with up to 90% fewer points, step by step

Why Skills Matter

Most people still use AI by starting from scratch every time: explain the task, paste the same context, correct the same mistakes, and repeat the process tomorrow.

A prompt tells the AI what to do once. A skill gives it a reusable playbook containing instructions, examples, reference files, scripts, and rules for completing a specific type of work.

Think of a skill as a small toolkit the AI can load whenever a matching task appears. Many skills use a portable format, so compatible tools such as Claude Code and Codex can follow the same workflow.

Skills can help you:

  • Automate repeated tasks without rebuilding the prompt each time

  • Keep the quality, structure, and process more consistent

  • Turn your knowledge, checklists, and routines into reusable AI workflows

Instead of opening a blank chat every time, you start with an AI that already understands how you want the work done.

How to Install and Use a Skill

Most skills are shared through a GitHub repository, and installing one only takes a few steps.

Step 1: Copy the skill link

Open the skill’s GitHub page and copy the repository link.

Step 2: Install it in Claude Code or Codex

Open Claude Code or Codex and enter:

Install this entire skill repository for me so i can start using it.
[Paste the GitHub link]

The agent will download the repository, place the skill files in the correct location, and confirm when it is ready.

Step 3: Run the skill

Once installed, type the skill’s slash command, usually in this format:

/skill-name

The skill will load its saved instructions and follow the complete workflow without requiring you to explain the process again.

How Skills Become Paid Services

Once a skill is installed, the next step is deciding what useful result it can produce for someone else. You are not selling the repository or the AI tool itself. You are packaging the finished outcome as a clear service.

Service type

What you can deliver

One-time project

Website audit, proposal, offer plan, pitch deck, or financial model

Monthly service

SEO, marketing, lead generation, content, or reporting

Implementation project

A custom skill built from the company’s documents and processes

Consulting service

Recommendations for pricing, positioning, conversion, or growth

  • Choose one type of customer and one problem they already care about

  • Create a sample that shows exactly what the finished deliverable will look like

  • Use the first project to offer implementation, ongoing support, or a monthly retainer

The seven skills below show how this works in practice, from finding prospects and closing projects to delivering the work and building reusable systems for clients.

5 AI Skills You Can Turn Into Paid Services

1. Marketing Skills: Audit and Improve a Brand’s Marketing

Marketing Skills is closer to a complete marketing team than a single skill. The repository includes workflows for conversion optimization, copywriting, SEO, analytics, advertising, content, retention, launches, pricing, and growth.

You can describe the product, audience, positioning, and competitors once. The other marketing skills can then reuse that context instead of making you explain the business again for every task.

Services you could offer

  • Landing-page and conversion audits

  • Copywriting and messaging improvements

  • Marketing strategy and campaign planning

  • Ongoing CRO, SEO, content, or growth support

Prompt :

Okay, use the CRO skill and audit the landing page of a direct-to-consumer skincare brand. Let’s say the page sells a vitamin C serum for $29, and most of the traffic comes from Instagram Reels and TikTok, so the audience is mainly young, mobile-first consumers aged 18 to 25 in the United States.

The main problem is that people are adding the product to their cart but not completing checkout.

Give me the top 10 conversion issues ranked by impact. For each issue, explain exactly what should be changed, including the copy, layout, buttons, trust elements, pricing, shipping information, and checkout experience.

Then rewrite the hero section in a tone that feels premium, modern, and Gen Z-friendly.

Result:

  • Ranked the top 10 conversion problems by impact

  • Suggested fixes for shipping, checkout, trust, pricing, and mobile friction

  • Rewrote the hero copy and recommended a clearer page structure

  • Changed the price from $29 to $34, so the final report still needed fact-checking

You could package this as a client-ready CRO audit, then offer to implement the highest-priority changes through copywriting, page redesign, checkout improvements, or ongoing conversion testing.

2. SEO Audit: Create a Client-Ready Website Report

SEO Audit takes a business website and turns the analysis into a structured SEO report. It can cover competitors, keywords, technical issues, content gaps, and the order in which problems should be fixed.

The result is easier to sell than a list of SEO notes because it can be packaged as a polished PDF that a business owner can understand.

Services you could offer

  • One-time website and SEO audits

  • Local keyword and competitor research

  • Technical and content roadmaps

  • Monthly SEO implementation and reporting

Prompt:

/seo-audit

Run a full SEO audit for Kinsler Family Dentistry:

https://www.kinslerfamilydentistry.com/

It is a local dental practice in Frankfort, Indiana. The goal is to attract more patients searching for terms like dentist Frankfort IN, family dentist Frankfort IN, emergency dentist Frankfort IN, pediatric dentist Frankfort IN, and teeth whitening Frankfort IN.

Review the website, compare it with nearby dental competitors, research the best local keywords, check the technical and on-page SEO, and identify missing service pages and content opportunities.

Rank the recommendations by impact, then package everything into a professional, client-ready PDF using the website’s existing brand colors. Make it easy for a dental practice owner with no SEO experience to understand, and do not invent any rankings, traffic, or technical findings you cannot verify.

Result:

  • Compared the clinic with local competitors and exposed its main SEO gaps

  • Flagged missing service pages, weak metadata, and no clear booking path

  • Delivered keyword ideas, ready-to-use metadata, and a 90-day action plan

You could sell this as a one-time audit, then offer to implement the recommended pages, technical fixes, content, and monthly reporting.

3. Cold Outbound Skills: Build a Lead-Generation Service

Cold Outbound Skills helps you create a complete B2B outreach campaign instead of generating one random cold email. Its main workflow builds the ideal customer profile, lead magnet, campaign direction, and action plan, while the wider library also covers list building, deliverability, copywriting, sending, and campaign management.

Services you could offer

  • Ideal customer and target-market research

  • Lead-magnet and campaign strategy

  • Cold email sequence writing

  • Campaign setup and monthly outbound management

Prompt:

/cold-Outbound

I run a small agency that builds AI follow-up systems for home builders and real estate developers.

We create SMS and email automations that respond to new leads, qualify them, and help book sales appointments. A typical project is worth between $8,000 and $15,000.

I want to target mid-sized home builders in Texas and Florida that are already running Google or Meta ads but are losing leads because their follow-up is slow or inconsistent.

Take me through the full kickoff process:

1. Build the ideal customer profile.
2. Suggest a useful lead magnet I can offer for free.
3. Create the campaign strategy and outreach angles.
4. Recommend how I should build the prospect list.
5. Write a three-email sequence.

Keep the emails short, natural, and suitable for a personal inbox. Use U.S. English, avoid hype, and do not invent information about individual companies.

For now, create only the campaign plan and copy. Do not send emails or upload anything

Result:

  • Built a clear ICP for mid-sized home builders in Texas and Florida

  • Ranked several lead magnets and selected a speed-to-lead scorecard as the strongest offer

  • Created 20 campaign angles, a practical list-building plan, and a short three-email sequence

4. Skill Seekers: Turn Company Knowledge Into a Custom AI Skill

Skill Seekers converts existing material such as PDFs, documentation, websites, and internal manuals into a reusable AI skill.

Instead of making employees search through long documents, the finished skill lets them ask questions and receive answers based on the company’s own processes and guidelines.

Services you could offer

  • Converting company SOPs into AI skills

  • Building internal knowledge assistants

  • Creating employee onboarding systems

  • Updating and maintaining company skills

Prompt :

Use Skill Seekers to build a custom AI skill for a U.S.-based accounting firm.

The firm has a 60-page PDF containing its internal tax-preparation SOPs and checklists. It covers client onboarding, document collection, bookkeeping reviews, and business tax-return preparation.

Convert the PDF into a production-ready skill so employees can ask questions such as:

“What documents do we need from an S corporation client before preparing Form 1120-S?”

The answers should come from the firm’s own procedures instead of general internet knowledge.

Create the complete SKILL.md file and any supporting reference files, then package everything as a ZIP file that can be installed in the firm’s AI workspace.

Do not invent tax guidance that is not included in the source document. If the firm’s SOP does not answer a question, clearly say that the information was not found.

Result:

  • Pulled a clear GSTR-9 document checklist directly from the firm’s internal SOP

  • Grouped the records into practical categories and cited the relevant SOP pages

  • Added the required reconciliations, completion evidence, and important filing cautions

5. Anthropic Document Skills: Create Pitch Decks and Business Files

Anthropic’s official Skills repository includes workflows for PowerPoint, spreadsheets, documents, and PDFs.

These skills can help produce editable business files rather than plain text inside a chat. That makes them useful for services clients already understand, including investor decks, sales presentations, financial models, and branded reports.

Services you could offer

  • Investor pitch decks

  • Sales and strategy presentations

  • Financial models and spreadsheets

  • Branded reports, proposals, and business documents

Prompt:

Use the PowerPoint skill and build me an investor pitch deck for a startup idea.

Startup name: HomePlate

HomePlate is a subscription service for homemade cultural comfort food for people who move to big U.S. cities for work or school. Think verified local home chefs making dishes like Southern comfort food, Mexican-American meals, Korean home cooking, Indian meals, Caribbean food, and other regional favorites.

Current traction:
- 500 orders per day
- 40% gross margin
- launched in Austin and Dallas
- raising $1.5M
- proposed valuation: $8M

Create a 10-slide investor deck covering:
1. Problem
2. Solution
3. Market opportunity
4. Product
5. Business model
6. Traction
7. Go-to-market strategy
8. Competition
9. Team
10. The ask

Design it clean and minimal with a dark background, modern typography, and strong visual hierarchy.

Keep one main idea per slide. Avoid walls of bullet points.

If you include market-size numbers or assumptions, clearly label them as estimates.

Result

  • Created a polished investor deck with a consistent black-and-orange visual style

  • The opening slide communicates the brand, offer, launch cities, and $1.5M raise without feeling crowded

  • Strong typography and spacing make it presentation-ready, though the financial and market claims still need to be verified before pitching
