How to Create Mini AI Apps Using Opal

Step 1: Open Opal

Open your web browser and go to opal

You’ll land on the Opal dashboard, where you can build, edit, and share mini-AI apps using natural language. From here, you can create a new app or explore example ideas from the gallery.

Step 2: Create a New App

On the Opal dashboard, click the Create New card under Your Opal apps. Here, a PDF Presenter app is created using Opal, which turns a PDF into a presentation with styled HTML slides. You can also generate your own ideas and use Opal to build different mini apps the same way.

Sample Prompt:

I want to create slides from the PDF. Ask the user to upload a PDF document and the number of slides required. Based on the PDF content, create the number of slides as specified by the user. Do not create a Google Slides presentation; render the content in HTML and show slides in HTML with proper styling.

Step 3: Generate the Mini App Output

After the app generates the final output, such as the styled HTML slides shown here, it’s ready to use.

This same process can be repeated to turn any idea into a mini app—just describe your idea and let Opal build it.
